What to Expect From Start to Finish
Whether you’re buying a pre-owned RV, preparing to sell, or just want a professional set of eyes on your current unit, your inspection with Mario’s RV Inspections is built to give you the clearest possible picture of your RV’s condition.
I travel to wherever your RV is located and conduct a hands-on evaluation of every accessible system and component. Your inspection follows the standards of practice and code of ethics set by the National Recreational Vehicle Inspectors Association (NRVIA), the leading certification body for RV inspectors in the country. That means the process is consistent, documented, and thorough every single time.
When the inspection is finished, I’ll walk you through the key findings and answer any questions you have on the spot. Your full written report, complete with photos and detailed notes, will be in your hands within 48 hours.
A thorough RV inspection covers the major systems and components of the unit, including the roof, exterior seals and seams, slideouts, propane system, fresh and waste water systems, 12-volt and 120-volt electrical systems, HVAC (air conditioning and heat), appliances, the undercarriage (where accessible), tires and wheel condition, frame, hitching components on towable RVs, and all life safety equipment including smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, and fire extinguisher status.
The length depends on the type and size of the RV. Premier Level inspections typically run 6 to 9 hours. Essential Level inspections generally take 5 to 7 hours. Larger Class A motorhomes with full slideouts on the higher end; smaller travel trailers or truck campers on the shorter end. Either way, I take the time it takes. I’m not rushing through your inspection.
No. An RV inspection is not a pass/fail test. It’s a thorough documentation of the RV’s current condition. Some items will be in great shape. Others will need monitoring, maintenance, or repair. My job is to give you accurate, unbiased information so you can make the right decision, not to approve or reject the unit.
You’re always welcome to be there, and for first-time RV buyers, I highly recommend it. Seeing things firsthand and asking questions in the moment is one of the best ways to understand your RV before you own it. That said, if you can’t make it, I’ll document everything in detail and walk you through the report findings afterward.
Absolutely, and it’s a smart move. New RVs can and do come with defects from the factory. Having a pre-delivery inspection done before you take ownership can identify issues while the dealer is still responsible for addressing them. It’s one of the best ways to protect yourself from the start.
Yes. I inspect Class A, Class B, and Class C motorhomes, as well as travel trailers, 5th wheels, pop-up tent trailers, and truck campers. If it’s an RV, I can inspect it.
Your report is delivered digitally through HomeGauge within 48 hours of the inspection’s completion. It includes written findings, photos, and clear notes on every item evaluated. You can access it on any device and share it with anyone involved in your purchase or sale decision.
I’m here for you even after the report lands in your inbox. If something needs clarification or you want to talk through what a finding means for your decision, just reach out. My goal is to make sure you leave the process feeling informed, not overwhelmed.
